Congratulations to the top two pumpkin chunkers! Rayna whose pumpkin was chunked an amazing 217 feet, and Jewellee whose pumpkin splatted in at 180 feet.
What a week! Students learned all about kinetic energy, potential energy, measurement and data collection. And ... we may have chunked just a few pumpkins along the way. Thank you so much to all the parents that helped make our pumpkin unit a success by donating candy pumpkins for our mini-catapults and pumpkins for our trebuchet! Special thanks to David Huss for volunteering his time to come and launch pumpkins with the kids. It was truly an all day event. We got started at 8:05 and parents were arriving for dismissal when he was loading up.! You can see grade level videos on my TeacherTube page.. Congratulations to the top two pumpkin chunkers! Rayna whose pumpkin was chunked an amazing 217 feet, and Jewellee whose pumpkin splatted in at 180 feet.
