An overwhelming 81% of parents and students indicated that they would rather have the option of an online learning tool for Math homework instead of worksheets!
New policy ... Students are responsible for completing five DreamBox lessons each week. These can be completed at home or school! Students who have completed their DreamBox sessions will have the option of other math tools during classroom rotations. This will make our homework more meaningful and connected to the learning in our classroom. No paper homework will be given on a regular basis. If your child is not completing his/her work in class it may be sent home. Please feel free to email me or send correspondence in the agenda if you have any questions! Students in all grades are welcome to submit artwork for the Art in the Park contest that will be held in late September at Hurricane Shoals Park in Maysville. Submissions are due to Ms. Ricci or the art room by Wednesday, September 7th. Art may be pencil, pen, ink, watercolor, oil or acrylic.
Kiddos - are you busy planning your cell model? Will your cell be a factory? McDonald's? A park? Hogwarts?!
We will go more in depth tomorrow on how to get you started. Feeling antsy and wanting to get a head start? Try this Google search for some ideas: http://bit.ly/2bp2jaY I can't wait to see what you create! Remember to bring in materials tomorrow!
What a great start to the 2016-17 school year! These kids not only rocked the school STEM Challenge, but they know a LOT about rights and responsibilities! They blew me away with their knowledge of the Bill of Rights in our Nearpod activity. #ThisClassRocks :)
Parents, be sure to check the blue folder and sign up for Class Dojo and Remind, if you haven't already. We had a few minor changes to the schedule. Here is our updated daily schedule including a new three week specials rotation. If you are unable to view the schedule below click here. |
