I am so excited to announce that we are beginning a gaming unit in December! Students have informational letters that went home today ... except 2nd grade. The day got away from me before I could pass them out. But no worries ... here is a link to the letter Gaming Informational Letter.

Adam successfully built an FM radio today! Check out the Padlet that he and Cale are creating here http://padlet.com/wall/8teqkmjft6 to see his work!
Get well soon, Cale! The 5th grade group misses you! Students: Feel free to add to your Padlet pages over the break! Icons for your Padlet pages have been added to the Links section of our website. Be creative. Have fun. Learn! Please send in used printer cartridges and small electronics for us to recycle throughout the year! Help us turn TRASH into CASH just by recycling! Visit http://www.fundingfactory.com for more details. What a week! Students learned all about kinetic energy, potential energy, measurement and data collection. And ... we may have chunked just a few pumpkins along the way. Thank you so much to all the parents that helped make our pumpkin unit a success by donating candy pumpkins for our mini-catapults and pumpkins for our trebuchet! Special thanks to David Huss for volunteering his time to come and launch pumpkins with the kids. It was truly an all day event. We got started at 8:05 and parents were arriving for dismissal when he was loading up.! You can see grade level videos on my TeacherTube page.. Congratulations to the top two pumpkin chunkers! Rayna whose pumpkin was chunked an amazing 217 feet, and Jewellee whose pumpkin splatted in at 180 feet. |
