What an amazing day! My sweet 1st - 3rd graders worked identifying text elements from Irish Folktales. Have you ever read those? They're tough! After identifying the elements, students created a piece of art that reflected each idea ... yeah ... that was tricky! I just kept reminding them that the name of this class is CHALLENGE class, not easy class! But I didn't stop there. After that, students had to work to pull text evidence from their folktales to add to their art. It could not have turned out better. But wait! There's more! Then students took photos, uploaded them to Google Classroom to "turn in" this task. The originals are proudly hanging in the hallway. ELA + Art + Technology = Awesome Kids!
