Congratulations to Rylee and Victoria, 5th Grade, whose structure was a whopping 38" tall! Our second place goes to Gavin and Cale. They used only 11 straws made it all the way to 37". Wow!
The kids were given 20 straws, five paper cups, 36 inches of masking tape, and one pair of scissors. The task? Build a self supporting structure that will hold your ping-pong ball as high as possible. Some failed. Some succeeded. They all tried, and they all had fun!
