- Our School Project Achievement (SPA) day will be on Tuesday, February 26. Students should come to school dressed professionally or dressed to match their presentation topic. Most students have their speeches 100% complete. Practice these!
- On Wednesday, February 27 we will complete our display boards for DMF here at school. Students may bring materials for their boards to school. However, students may not complete their displays at home. These needs to be completed in the classroom.
- Please take time this weekend to read this important parent letter with more details about DMF!
Here's a quick rundown of what we are learning:
- Math - multiplication and division of fractions
- Science - Plant and Animal Classification (Ask about our Kingdom Huss Class activity!). Students have a vocabulary list that includes additional activities to try from home. Next up is plant and animal cells followed by microorganisms and genetics.
- Social Studies - We just wrapped up the Great Depression. (Ask your child about who they represented and how they did in our class Monopoly challenge!) WWII will be next!
- Reading - novel study of Tuck Everlasting. Click on the title of the book for a great resource to help understand the novel. Focus on figurative language and author's craft.
- Writing - opinion essays. (Ask your student about how we use "claims, evidence, and reasoning" in class.
